Okay now… you overwhelmed me. Originally I thought there would be maybe about ten donors a year and that’s it. But it seems like there is ten a month now. And I’m way too slow to make individual songs for each and everyone of you. I’m sorry if you expected something! I hope my newest free album is okay enough. It’s only been created thanks to your support! Every cent went into the expenses of having expensive music software and hardware. I really appreciate your support. I’m sorry again that this didn’t work out quite so well… sorry!

It’s a nice service that may give me some payment opportunities I don’t have with the stuff I do for free. Flattr is a service where you monthly pay a really small fee (like 2 euros a month) and give parts of your fee to stuff from people you like. Think of it as digg with money.

I guess that means I will add a few blog entries which neatly sum up the albums I created so far. Maybe someone at flattr will like it. And if nobody will even notice me, well, thats okay then I guess.

Yesterday I’ve watched this documentary about Penny Arcade.

I guess it’s a well made documentary and it colors me prejudice. Such an incredible work environment. If you are done working, try playing these new games please, we should know what their problems are to make fun of em.

But oh well, 2Player Productions seem to be huge chiptune nerds, so naturally the soundtrack of that docu is chiptune. One song catched my attention really hard though.

Don’t mind the dumb imagery. That song is just so mind-blowing.

And it’s just 4 minutes of the same melody over and over again. And still I never get bored of it.
This song kind of drags me back into chiptune. And my main problem about chiptune always was that I’m not good at making chiptune.

The attempts I have usually end up in being a shitty melody with terrible excuses of drum sets. I would love to make chiptune, but I always feel like it’s hard to make it sound good. Maybe I always forget how not really relevant it is that the snare doesn’t sound like a snare. I should listen to the music more carefully.

Oh, also there was this blip festival around this time. Well, it’s over now, but it happened again. It’s just, uh, I think 4 days of chiptune music on stage, as loud as possible. Recordings of those artists making the music is always incredible. As they mostly only have one gameboy and barely much control of the songs they already made, they just go crazy. Fun to watch.

What always worried me about that video was the sound cable he threw around with his gameboy. one false move and there is total silence in the room.

Well, I guess drunken people don’t care.

Yeah, Microsoft software, evil. Boo.

I guess I was searching for a long while for a good blog writing software outside the internet, so I don’t always need to visit wp-admin. This program I can start instantly, write shit, press enter, call it a day.

Online, I have to start a browser, type in my url, or at least press on the favs to get to the Dashboard. In there, I have to click on post and new. I dunno, it’s kind of tedious and too slow for me. If I want to write a blog entry, I want it to happen instantly, so that’s why I kinda found this Microsoft product. Not that there’s anything evil about Microsoft, but it really surprised me that there isn’t anything equally good.

Well. Let’s try adding images and see how that works and where it uploads it.

Hah. Wow. That was surprisingly easy. Okay, I’m impressed.

Got Komplete now. Man, the package is incredibly heavy.

I swear, the manuals are like 3 kilograms.

And well, that means I will probably just check out all the programs, read some of the manuals and go to bed. So I won’t do anything today.
